Over the years, we have had one question on our minds: how can we create an urban catalyst which embodies and institutionalises the groundbreaking work of Project #BeFree and its key learnings, a space that serves as an inspiring platform and safe haven for youth across Namibia?
Welcome to #BeFree!
After years of consultations with young people and key stakeholders, we conceptualised and developed the solution—The #BeFree Youth Campus.
It is a dynamic and inclusive space designed to equip, empower, and uplift young people and comprises several interactive hubs, namely: The #BeFree Cares Clinic, The Spark Lab, and The STEM Centre.
Housed within multifunctional and vibrant spaces, the campus fosters a sense of community, self-expression, and growth.
The #BeFree Youth Campus is more than just a place, it is a movement. It is where young people come together to learn, connect, and shape their futures.
Whether you are looking for mentorship, skills training, health services, or simply a supportive community, the #BeFree Youth Campus is a safe haven for you.

Education
The Foundation places a strong emphasis on educational programmes to enhance learning and skill development, which includes:
The #BeFree Robotics Programme is the cornerstone of the STEM Centre, providing hands-on experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Designed for individuals aged 13 to 35, the programme equips participants with essential technical skills while fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. By bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, it nurtures creativity and innovation. The structured curriculum comprises two modules, each containing five units, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.
COMPUTER LITERACY
The Little Shop of Physics (LSOP) programme is designed to break down traditional barriers to learning physics in schools. Through an interactive, exploratory, and hands-on approach, participants engage with real-world physics concepts such as magnetism, force, and energy.
This creative methodology allows learners to discover how everyday objects can be utilised to build and explore scientific principles. Open to individuals aged 13 to 18, the programme expands access to STEM education, inspiring young Namibians to explore their potential in physics.
ENTRENEURSHIP
ROBOTICS
As an integral part of the STEM Centre, the #BeFree Youth Campus offers a structured computer literacy programme for individuals aged 13 to 35.
This initiative provides participants with fundamental digital skills, including computer operation, software proficiency, and safe internet navigation. Through a well-designed curriculum, the programme empowers young people with the knowledge to think critically, solve problems, and engage in responsible digital citizenship.
LITTLE SHOP OF PHYSICS
The #BeFree Entrepreneurship Programme equips individuals aged 13 to 35, particularly out-of-school youth and individuals from the disability community, with the skills, knowledge, and mindset needed to establish and manage their own businesses. The programme is structured into three key stages:
-
Stage 1: Ideation – Identifying and validating viable business ideas.
-
Stage 2: Planning – Developing a comprehensive business plan.
-
Stage 3: Execution – Implementing the business plan and launching the venture.
By fostering innovation, resilience, and self-reliance, this initiative empowers participants to contribute meaningfully to their communities and the broader economy.
