On the 19 August 2025, we wrapped up the 2nd edition of our Content Creation Masterclass in Swakopmund, where micro-entrepreneurs from the Erongo Region gained digital marketing tools to elevate their brands, connect with audiences, and expand their online presence.
In his welcoming remarks, Swakopmund Mayor His Worship Blasius Goraseb assured entrepreneurs they're in the right place, as marketing is critical in today's business landscape. "With the internet and social media marketing, the world is your playground," he said. “If you are not online and in the social media space, you are invisible,” the Mayor further explained. He illustrated this by reminding entrepreneurs: “You can have the best talents, gifts and services, but if the world does not know, your full potential will not be realised.”
Our first presenter, Chante Bock, Founder of Chante Jenae Textiles, shared why content matters for entrepreneurs. She introduced participants to the art of content creation, covering how to start, plan and build strategies. She explained that content creation is about developing and sharing valuable, relevant and engaging material to attract and retain an audience. Chante also explored the different forms of content, the purpose behind it and the importance of understanding your core audience.
Paulo Coelho, Founder of FoxGlove Digital with over 20 years of experience building brands, guided entrepreneurs on strengthening their businesses through branding and marketing. He explained that branding is positioning: “We create a story, give it a name and give it a face.” Paulo also encouraged entrepreneurs to challenge algorithms that have flooded online spaces. He urged them to rediscover their inner voice and build brands that reflect authenticity and purpose.
Joining virtually, Nrupesh Soni shared practical insights on Social Media & Digital Content Tools. He reminded entrepreneurs that businesses without a digital presence risk losing customers, as over 70% of consumers research online before buying. He encouraged participants to embrace analytics and simple AI tools, while also setting boundaries to protect their mental health in the digital hustle. Nrupesh introduced easy tools like Canva and CapCut, which help entrepreneurs design, edit and schedule content.
Christoph Hedimbi, Radio Networks Engineer at MTC Namibia, spoke on Legal & Ethical Considerations in Content Creation. He stressed that businesses must balance content creation and engagement with the potential legal and ethical risks of social media use. Christoph urged entrepreneurs to adopt clear social media policies, train their teams on best practices and be mindful of words and actions online. “Protecting your reputation means respecting both the law and your audience," he said.
